Hello world . . . we’ve finally arrived!

26 08 2009

So this is our first official blog post.  We hope some real world stories from the amazing events we’ve worked over the past few months will inspire you to consider our incredible new technology – the world’s first booth that takes both photos and HD quality video images.

We call these “suite memories” because they capture your event guests’ most private thoughts – you know – the ones that REALLY COUNT; the ones that are so personal or too funny to actually leave in front of a videographer!

We’ve done tons of weddings, mitzvahs, anniversaries and private parties already, and the universal phase shared by every host has been “the booth is the HIT of the party!” From a personal standpoint, there just isn’t a better feeling than when a young bride and groom, their parents, and guests want to hug you because you’ve helped create an experience for them that will last a life time.

Terry and I developed this idea one afternoon in a park in Northbrook.  We laughed about how videographers at weddings douse you with their camera spotlight during dinner – usually when your mouth is stuffed with salad and you’re sitting next to a stranger.   You’re then asked to share something deeply meaningful as everyone around you watches.  Of course, who wants to say anything important on a moment’s notice with a bunch of strangers around?

For sure, when we got married, our wedding videos had lots of “congrats,” “you look great,” “wonderful party,” and “may you have lots of children.” But nothing that REALLY mattered; nothing that we could show our kids that connected that person to our relationship.

Ironically, we were sitting a few feet from a beautiful park gazebo and – instantly – we both had the same idea.  Why not leave messages that count, that last for generations, that make you cry, make you laugh, help you to fondly remember those that matter the most to you – both on your special day . . . and long after they are gone.  And why not do it in an environment that was private, beautiful, fun, and romantic. We wanted a place that made you feel good; where you could could take your time and express yourself on your terms, at your pace; a place where every guest would actually feel COMPELLED to share their memories with you.

A few moments later, the Video Gazebo was born.  And it just made sense.   Who would want a photo booth, when you could get a booth that delivers photos AND video?  Hopefully, you’ll tune into our blog, consider a few new ideas, and get excited at the thought of capturing your own suite memories for YOUR BIG EVENT!  Best wishes, Tim
